Chapter 4: The Self and Interaction - Resocialization
Resocialization: The process of replacing previously learned norms and values with new ones as part of a transition in life(Pg 115).
Because of his ability to rapidly heal and recover as far as his cellular level goes, Wolverine never ages as a result. Wolverine has lived though many lifetimes dating all the way back to World War 1 and has served in many of the future wars only to outlive everyone else. Resocializing with the world was something Wolverine had to do in order to keep up as the world was constantly changing. One great example of this is in the movie "The Wolverine" where Logan aka Wolverine goes to a modern-day Japan to meet an old war veteran he saved back in the Vietnam War(1954-1973) who found a solution to end his immortality.
